During the July 2022 Camp NaNoWriMo I wrote the first official draft of The Witch & The Wolf. This will be the first time I’ve made it to the second draft of a story I’ve written and I couldn’t be prouder of myself. Follow along as I write my way through this journey.

Printing

When I finished Camp NaNoWriMo I rewarded myself with buying a tiara from SweetV jewelry. But I also knew I would want a physical copy of my manuscript printed out for revising.

I’ve used the Staples Print Shop once before when I needed to print certain chapters of a textbook for college. It was inexpensive and easy to use.

For anyone else interested in using Staples, here’s the breakdown:

  • I created a new document of my manuscript and double-spaced it. I wanted as much room to make notes and edit as possible.
  • I uploaded that to the Staples website (it’s free to make an account).
  • I went with black and white printing on standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper and no binding.
  • I ordered it August 11, it shipped August 15, and arrived August 16. Shipping was free and I had it delivered straight to my door.
  • The total cost was $45.82.
