Rad Girls Can Review and Journal Prompts
One of the books my sister found at the library book sale last month was Rad Girls Can: Stories of Bold, Brave, and Brilliant Young Women by Kate Schatz and Miriam Klein Stahl. I was immediately intrigued.

Here is the summary:
“From the New York Times best-selling authors of Rad Women Worldwide and Rad American Women A-Z, a bold and brave collection of stories and art about inspiring and accomplished girls who have made positive impacts on the world before the age of 20,” (read more here).
It was a quick read and I was pleased to find so many names I didn’t know — and from all over the world. There were a handful I knew, like Tavi Gevinson. I watched her TedTalk, A teen just trying to figure it out several years ago.
What I liked most about this book, though, was the final page. The book features 49 amazing girls and leaves a space for you to fill out as the 50th Rad Girl.
I decided to take that section and use them as journal prompts:
- What makes you rad right now?
- What does your rad future look like?
- What are your goals and big dreams?
- What will you do to make the world a better place?
