I appreciate you keeping my business and services in mind for anyone you know, that's really helpful.

As for becoming a better writer: I took a short online college course in creative writing several years ago, but otherwise I'm completely self-taught.

Besides actually writing, I have a few pieces of advice:

Read. Read. Read. I mean it -- read a lot, everything you can get your hands on, and don't stick to one genre or medium.

Analyze others' work. Take it apart, go word by word, sentence by sentence. See how the author crafted the story through those individual words and sentences.

Here are a few resources that might be helpful:
- The book, Elements of Eloquence by Mark Forsyth
- The Hemmingway Editor is a website that marks hard to read sentences, adverb use, etc. It also provides word count, read count, and grade reading level.
- With a library card you can access Hoopla and Kanopy. These are digital borrowing apps. They have some how-to and educational TV shows on writing: fiction, essays, etc.

I hope this helps! And thank you so much for the compliment and comment.
